RACING INFORMATION

• There will be 9 Heats consisting of 6 Horses in each Heat
• 3 Heats for thoroughbreds contested over 600mt
• 3 Heats for Quarter Horses contested over 400mts
• 3 Heats for all other Breeds contested over 350mts
• 1st & 2nd Horse from each Race will be invited to contest the Final in each category (Making each Category Final consist of 6 Horses)

RACING: THE RULES

• NOMINATIONS OPEN NOW and Nominations will close as soon as ample entries are received..
• All acceptances are based on 'first in, first served' (1st 30 Guaranteed)
* should there be more than the required 54 nominations.
• A ballot will decide the final fields.
• The association retains the right to select several emergency runners incase of late scratchings
• Owners are invited to enter as many horses as they wish (nomination fees $150 per horse).
• Owners will be notified by email/phone of their successful nominations (expect this to be from early July).
• All Jockeys will be required to wear sponsors silks (provided by Harbour Beach Racing Association) these silks will be available before the race & must be returned following the Race.
• All Jockeys will be required to wear all safety gear associated with race riding
• Each race is a "Walk up Flag Start" and a false start by any horse may result in disqualification.
• Any interference, rough riding tactics or bad sportsmanship/behavior by any Jockey or by connections may result in disqualification and penalty (prize money will be forfeited).
• Jockeys are allowed to protest after the race (within 5 mins) and protests will be heard by race officials. The Judge's decisions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• All minor prizes will be presented on the day.

QUARTER DECK MARQUEE PACKAGE $6000+GST

Quarter Deck Marquee Sponsors receive the following package:

• 23 Tickets/Armbands that will get you Entry to the Mackay Harbor Beach Race Day
• A private Marquee situated on the very exclusive Quarter Deck (elevated Deck) overlooking the Race Course.
• While in the Marquee, your guests will be treated to VIP service & a 5 hour catering package (Beer/Wine/Bubbly/RTD's as well as a grazing menu of gourmet treats throughout the course of the day).

These Marquees are open from 11.30am-4.30pm.

On Thursday 15th August each "Quarter Deck Marquee" will receive invites to a "Calling of the Card Function" where they will draw a horse competing in the Mackay Harbour Beach Race Day event.

The Jockey of your drawn horse will wear "Personalized Silk's" designed by you (A great way to show the Company Colours - These Personalized Silks are included in the Price)

Should your drawn horse win it's race, (Races 1-9 are Heats leading up to the feature event "The Broo Beach Classic") you will receive a Trophy & a $500 After-party valid for your guests for that night at one of the participating venues (TBA).

Should your horse then goes on to win one of the 3 feature Category Final, Your Organization will win a $2500 Prize.

All Quarter Deck Sponsors will also receive a Complimentary Banner which will be hung along the front of their Quarter Deck

CORPORATE/GROUP OPTIONS:

Option 1: Your own private pop-up marquees

If you have your own "Pop-up Marquee" and purchase a minimum of 20 General Admission Tickets, we will reserve you a space on the beach/park in the general public area with great access to the beach/family/bars areas.
Your guests can then purchase their own food & beverages. We can arrange seats/tables to order. This option is great for families/social/sporting groups etc.

Option 2: The Broo Beach Bar Sand Enclosure

Also dubbed 'The Chill-out Zone'.

Tickets for this Area are $149 each (inc.4.5 hr catering package). If you purchase a minimum of 20, we will supply you with a private marquee.
Limited number of Marquee Spots available. This option is ideal for social clubs with large numbers (3 of our reservations are 100+). Once the all private marquees are reserved, we will still have single tickets available in the Large general marquee.

Option 3: The VIP Quarter Deck Marquee

We are currently promoting the "Quarter Deck" as the "Ultimate in Opulence".

"The Quarter Deck" is a slightly raised viewing deck overlooking the track (beach). Each 3mt x 3mt marquee boasts a carpeted, fully furnished location with a private 3mt x 4mt fully furnished deck & includes a 5 hr catering package with 2 staff.

The "Quarter Deck Marquees" host 23 Guests & are available at $6000 + GST each. Many extra benefits of reserving a "Quarter Deck" (i.e. drawing of a participating horse & designing Jockey silks/signage opportunities etc).

Please Note: We have allocated 4 of the "Quarter Deck Marquees" to be sold as individual Tickets at $340/head (Great for those who can't rally up 20 guests)
